Raised in both Alberta and British Columbia, Canada, Serena Staples is a contemporary painter completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours Degree at the University of Calgary. Her work demonstrates her longstanding interest in the relationship between the individualistic experience of identity and the concept of a higher consciousness.
